Under direct supervision of a physician, treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a manager or head of a department.
Requires a bachelor’s/master’s degree from an accredited program, NATA certification, valid Pennsylvania professional license as an Athletic Trainer. Heathcare provider CPR.
