Early Career Opportunities, Full-Time Job Expires April 11, 2021
March is here, and it is hiring season for soon-to-be-graduates. Southern Teachers has hundreds of jobs for K-12 Teachers at private/independent schools. How can Southern Teachers be a resource in your job search?
Our Process
  • Fill out our application.
  • Once accepted as a Southern Teachers candidate, a Placement Counselor will be assigned to help you through the entire job search process. Together, you will:
  • assemble a compelling credentials file and prepare for interviews
  • discuss your talents and interests, your career goals, and relocation preferences
  • decide which jobs at our 700 member schools around the South are a good match for your goals and level of preparation
  • Your counselor will contact your references, as our full understanding of your search & abilities will help us identify the opportunities that are most appropriate for you.
What are the required Qualifications?
A bachelor’s degree is required, and a strong academic record is important. What matters most is a prospective teacher’s gift for managing and motivating students. Schools will often consider a candidate’s previous success as a camp counselor, coach, tutor, or residential advisor.
For elementary school teaching positions, certification is usually required. For teachers in middle and upper school, however, schools focus on subject area knowledge and skills in communicating and connecting with teenagers. Teacher certification is not required for these secondary positions.
Our services are always free for candidates, so please apply now!
