Job Summary

Nokomis Inc. is a premier high technology research and development company located in Charleroi, PA. Nokomis does some of the most advanced R&D on the planet for the DOD (DARPA, Air Force, Navy and Army), NASA and the DOE. Nokomis is a 50-employee strong company that has executed on nearly $100M in advanced Government R&D efforts. We year-to-year rank in the top three (3) in the state of Pennsylvania for the number of R&D contracts we typically win when compared to companies under $300M. Despite the COVID pandemic we continue to be in a period of sustained growth.

Nokomis is seeking versatile hardworking scientists who are interested in executing on cutting edge R&D while also competing for, winning, and leading future R&D efforts.

These positions require problem solvers that can apply their skills and experience day-to-say to a wide array of current R&D and design challenges and produce results that enhance the company’s product offerings. Innovative and driven scientists who bring unique solutions to challenging R&D problems are required. This position requires individuals capable of solving complex technical problems. We will train you!

** You must be able to work in our Charleroi, PA office. This is not a remote position.**

Responsibilities and Duties

· Contributing to a wide array of current projects in the field of electromagnetic sensing, EM-based spectroscopy, signature assessment and/or materials

· Scientific analysis of data from an array of sensors the company employs

· Data collection using commercially available and custom instrumentation

· Analysis of RF spectrum data to identify key metrics

· Participate in detailed trade studies and optimizations on complex configurations in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment

· Develop and validate RF stimulation and signature requirements for various components

· Modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements

· Interpret measured data and certify its veracity

· Ability to troubleshoot technical issues

· Generate RF analysis in accordance with well-established production processes

· Provide input to analysis reports and briefings

Additional Key Responsibilities and Duties

· Write appropriate sections of proposals to support development of new business

· Contribution to other team members proposals

· The writing of proposals to win future R&D efforts ad Principal Investigator (PI)

· The presentation of R&D proposals to win funding

· Technical reporting of projects

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

· Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics, or another related field

· Strong scientific and mathematical background

Desired:

· Programming experience in C or C ++

· Radio Frequency (RF), microwave or millimeter wave spectroscopy experience
