We are an NIH-funded laboratory that is studying cellular and molecular immunology in transplant medicine. We are involved in studying patient samples from numerous multicenter human clinical trials, as well as performing transplant immunology research in mice. Our lab currently has an opening for a research technician. Duties of this position include: preparation of biological specimens, both human & mouse; tissue culture & cell-line maintenance; performance of immunological assays on both human & mouse specimens, including ELISAs, ELISPOTS, PCR, flow-cytometry; characterization of extensive mouse colony by PCR & flow cytometry. This position requires someone who is meticulous in their record-keeping & can work as part of a group. Applicant should have familiarity with cell culture and molecular biology, and be comfortable working with human samples (blood, urine, etc), as well as live mice. Flow cytometry experience a definite plus. We require a 1-2 year commitment.
