Virtual / Remote Academic College Internships (Various Majors)

March 19, 2020

We are all in a time of great distress and uncertainty and in an effort to assist college students we redesigned a program that can help some of your students.

The Georgia State Games Commission, which is an official State of Georgia Government Commission, operates the Georgia grass roots Olympic style sports festival. We has several programs. For this current situation, the most important one is our college internship program.

Due to the current situation, we have restructured an existing program to assist Georgia’s Colleges and its students address their immediate college graduation requiring an internship. MANY of their existing and upcoming summer internships are being cancelled due to this Corno-19 situation.

We have designed a virtual college internship which can be completed remotely for the students.

While college academic administrators are addressing this situation in various ways, we wanted to put this program out to all Georgia Colleges FIRST, prior to disseminating it to the rest of the country which is also clamoring for such a mechanism.

While this virtual internship is not ideal by any means, we believe it should suffice the immediate need to help these college students meet their college graduation requirement.

We have developed projects for the students interested in the following majors or areas:

  1. Marketing, Sales, and Fund Raising
  2. Public Relations and Promotions
  3. Graphic Design
  4. Sports, Recreation and Event Management
  5. Government Relations
  6. Volunteer Management
  7. Website and App Design
  8. Possibly more

Any interested student should go to our website for further information and application directions: www.georgiagames.org.

Sincerely,

Eric M. Pfeifer, Executive Director

Georgia State Games Commission
