Epic Games Finance Team is looking for a smart, creative Finance Intern to join them for Summer 2021. Our Interns are given challenging projects over the work term, and are provided with a meaningful experience with high expectations for performance. Our Finance and Accounting teams build the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We combine analytical and strategic thinking to develop a sound financial future for our global brand. We work closely with teams across the company, international subsidiaries, as well as with external partners to ensure a world-class finance organization. Our team contains experts from fields like tax, treasury, purchasing, FP&A, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month & quarter-end close activities and reporting processes
- Assist with data entry for payable and customer invoices and payments
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and business case modeling as per business requirements
- Engage in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline financial planning and budget management processes for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
- Must be earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university
- Have an inherent interest in Finance/Accounting and great business acumen
- Adequate understanding of GAAP accounting (completed at least one Intermediate Accounting course)
- Independent and self-starter with a “can-do” attitude.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, vlookups, and pivot tables).
- Strong communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key accounting and operational issues to management.
- Someone who is user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative.
