Help Desk Student Operator – Receives calls and walk-ins at the Technology Help Center from employees/students with technology-related issues. Student Operators assist in resolution of technical issues and acquire appropriate information to log trouble tickets when first call resolution is not possible. Students work directly with supervisors to assist customers.
Help Desk Student Technician – Troubleshoot various Hardware and Software issues around campus, Install Operating System and Software packages, Deliver and install Paper and Toner supplies to Computer Labs. Situated at the Tech Help Center and assists mainly student users. May be sent out to make trouble and/or maintenance calls to different locations on campus.
Set-up Room Student Technician – Troubleshoot various Hardware and Software issues around campus
Install Operating System and Software packages Deliver and install Paper and Toner supplies to Computer Labs. Situated in the Setup Room and is often sent out to trouble and maintenance calls to offices and labs.
Minimum Qualifications
Tech Help Center Operator –
MUST be reliable and punctual
Excellent communications skills and customer service
Professional conduct; handle conflict situations with composure
Good to excellent technical skills.
Help Desk Student Technician & Set-up Room Student Technician
Communication Skills – Good to Excellent
Able to Learn and Retain information regarding our support processes
Able to physically lift and carry 20 pounds
Able to follow directions
GPA Requirements: 2.5
Minimum Earned Credit Hours- 15-30
