We value our partnerships with employers and welcome organizations interested in recruiting Edinboro students and alumni to post their opportunities and visit our campus. We provide many avenues for employers to work with our students, including:
On-Campus Recruiting Program
Edinboro University offers a technologically-enable, private space in the Career Center for employers who would like to come to campus to provide informational sessions, conduct interviews or meet with students. Please contact Monica Clem, Executive Director of the Center for Career Development and Experiential Learning, if you are interested in scheduling an on-campus visit.
Annual Fall Internship & Career Fair
We host our signature annual Internship and Career Fair each Fall on Reading Day, a special day with no classes. This allows more students to participate in the Fair. Our Fair is limited to 50 employers offering internship and career opportunities. We do not permit employers offering only part-time positions or independent contractor positions. Event registration opens in June.
Meet-ups & Information Sessions
Meet-ups and information sessions are a great way to build your brand on campus. Today’s college students are very interested in the mission and brand of companies, and it is important that employers build positive brand recognition and relationships on campus. Meet-ups may be scheduled with specific groups of students or open to all, and information sessions may take place in classrooms, student clubs and organization meetings, or the Career Center. If you are interested in hosting a meet-up or information session, please contact us to discuss some options. The Career Center does not typically host information tables. Employers interested only in tabling should contact the Pogue Student Center to inquire about reserving a table.
The Center for Career Development and Experiential Learning is primarily focused on career education and making connections between college students and alumni and professional opportunities. We are not a placement agency or a fee-based employment service. We focus on experiences, positions and opportunities that are appropriate for college-educated candidates, align with the learning experiences and academic focus of our students, and support our mission to support each student in his or her professional development. Therefore, we restrict specific types of employers/positions from recruiting through the Career Center and will not post or promote the following:
- Positions that require or ask students to advertise to or solicit/recruit fellow students on campus (book buy-back sales, off-campus housing sales positions, etc.).
- Positions that offer private in-home employment through an individual (babysitting, private tutoring, in-home care, etc.).
- Positions that require an investment or unpaid training as a condition of employment.
- Commission-only or multi-level marketing positions.
