In order to gain full admission into Art Department programs at Edinboro University, a student must first earn Candidacy upon admission to the program.
After a student completes the introductory courses in a particular Art Department program, generally in the student’s sophomore year, he/she must apply for Candidacy to continue in the program.
In order to apply for Candidacy, students must submit a portfolio of artwork as outlined in the student handbook. Generally, this portfolio consists of projects, pieces or works from the introductory classes.
Upon completion of the necessary courses, a candidacy from in the program of interest must be completed and submitted to faculty within the concentration department.
